Thank a Caregiver
Recognizing Those Who Go Above and Beyond
At Decatur Morgan Hospital, our caregivers make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families every day. If someone on our team provided exceptional care during your visit, we invite you to share your gratitude and help us recognize their dedication.
Caregiver Recognition Programs
The DAISY Award®
for Extraordinary Nurses
The DAISY Award® is a nationwide recognition program that honors nurses who demonstrate extraordinary compassion, clinical skill, and dedication to patient care. These nurses make a lasting impact on patients and families during some of life’s most important moments.
If a nurse made a difference in your experience, we encourage you to submit a nomination in their honor.
The BEE Award
The BEE Award, which stands for Be Excellent Every Day, recognizes non-nursing caregivers who exemplify kindness, teamwork and a positive presence. BEE Award nominees are individuals who:
- Promote safety and compassion
- Anticipate patient and visitor needs
- Communicate clearly and respectfully
- Support teamwork across departments
Patients, visitors, physicians and employees are welcome to nominate a deserving caregiver. When submitting a nomination, please share a specific story or moment that highlights how this individual made a meaningful difference in your care.
Hospital Heroes
Hospital Heroes is a meaningful way for patients and families to thank the caregivers who made a difference during their stay at Decatur Morgan Hospital. By making a donation to the Foundation in honor of a physician, nurse, technician, or staff member, you recognize the compassion and care they bring to their work every day. Your gift helps fund life-saving equipment and continuing education that support our entire care team.
When you make a donation, your Hospital Hero will receive a special card with your message and a lapel pin to wear proudly. The amount of your gift will remain private, and gifts of any size are deeply appreciated. Your support both honors your caregiver and helps improve care for patients across our community.
