Gray will report to Sam Dean, executive vice president of regional hospital operations for HH Health, and will work closely with the Helen Keller Hospital Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to support employees, strengthen access to care and continue advancing services for patients across Northwest Alabama.

That combination of operational experience and relationship-driven leadership will support Helen Keller’s continued success as a trusted community hospital.”
Helen Keller has continued to operate without interruption under the leadership of interim president Sherry Sands. Sands will return to her role as vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer for Helen Keller Hospital and Red Bay Hospital.
“We are grateful to Sherry for her steady leadership and commitment to Helen Keller during this transition,” Dean said. “Her experience and deep relationships with our teams helped ensure continued focus on our patients, employees and community.”
Gray said he is honored to join Helen Keller Hospital and looks forward to becoming part of the Shoals community.

Gray earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He began his health care career as a physical therapist at UAB Hospital before moving into hospital administration.
