Compassionate Chaplain Support for Patients and Families

At HH Health, chaplain services are an important part of our commitment to whole-person health care. Our chaplaincy program provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families and staff during times of illness, hospitalization and medical decision-making.

Chaplains are available to individuals of all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds, including those who do not identify with a specific religious tradition.

Our Chaplaincy Program

Hospital chaplains are trained professionals who provide compassionate presence, listening and guidance in moments of uncertainty, stress and grief.

Chaplains may offer:
  • Emotional and spiritual support during illness or hospitalization
  • Prayer or spiritual conversation upon request
  • Support during times of crisis, loss or transition
  • Guidance during end-of-life care or complex medical decisions
  • Connection to community faith leaders when requested
All services are provided in a respectful, nonjudgmental manner and tailored to individual needs.

Care for All Faiths, Beliefs and Backgrounds

HH Health recognizes the importance of spiritual and emotional support as part of the healing process. Spiritual Care services are available to patients, families and visitors of all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds.

Spiritual Care is offered as a supportive resource during times of illness, hospitalization and decision-making, and is available regardless of religious affiliation.

Support for Patients and Families

Spiritual Care providers offer compassionate presence and support, which may include:

  • Emotional and spiritual support during illness or hospitalization
  • Prayer or spiritual conversation, upon request
  • Support during times of stress, uncertainty or grief
  • Assistance during end-of-life care or major medical decisions

Services are provided in a respectful, non-judgmental manner and are tailored to individual needs and preferences.

Respect for All Beliefs

HH Health is committed to providing inclusive care that respects diverse beliefs, traditions and values. Spiritual Care providers support individuals of all faiths and those who do not identify with a specific religious tradition.

Support is offered in a way that honors personal beliefs and cultural practices.

Requesting Spiritual Care

Patients, families or visitors may request Spiritual Care at any time during a hospital stay.

To request Spiritual Care:

  • Speak with a member of your care team, or
  • Ask any hospital staff member to assist with a request

There is no cost for Spiritual Care services.
