LifeLine is a 24-hour emergency response system designed to help individuals live independently and confidently in their own homes. With the simple push of a button, LifeLine connects subscribers to immediate help — any time, day or night.
How LifeLine Works
LifeLine subscribers have a base unit installed in their home and wear an emergency alert button either on the wrist or around the neck.
- Pressing the button instantly connects you to the LifeLine Response Center.
- Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Trained response specialists assess the situation and coordinate help as needed.
- Emergency services, family members or caregivers can be contacted quickly.
LifeLine is designed to provide reassurance for both subscribers and their loved ones.
Who LifeLine Is For
LifeLine may be helpful for individuals who:
- Live alone or spend time alone during the day
- Want added peace of mind at home
- Have a history of falls or medical emergencies
- Are recovering from illness or surgery
- Wish to maintain independence while staying connected to help
Equipment Options
LifeLine offers different alert button options to meet individual needs:
- Standard alert button: Push-button activation worn on the wrist or around the neck
- Auto alert button: Automatically detects certain falls and sends an alert without requiring a button press
Pricing & Fees
LifeLine services include an initial setup fee and a monthly monitoring fee:
Initial setup fee:
- $40
- $20 for Decatur Morgan Hospital Auxiliary members
Monthly monitoring fees:
- $32 for standard alert button
- $40 for auto alert button
Pricing includes 24/7 monitoring and access to the LifeLine Response Center.
