As one of North Alabama’s top job creators, Huntsville Hospital is proud to employ hundreds of veterans and looks forward to hiring more through a new partnership with the U.S. Army.

HH and the Army joined forces Wednesday, April 24, to formally kick off a partnership agreement where Huntsville Hospital will guarantee an interview to soldiers participating in the U.S. Army’s Partnership for Your Success (PaYS) program, which could lead to future employment.

PaYS is designed to help soldiers prepare for a career after the Army by connecting them with potential employers. HH President and Chief Operating Officer Tracy Doughty, who served as a commissioned officer in the Army Reserves for six years, said the partnership is a win-win for the hospital and community.

“Having served my country, I’m familiar with the challenges our soldiers often face when transitioning to civilian life,” he said. “Partnerships like these not only benefit the individuals involved but also strengthen our community as a whole. By leveraging our resources and expertise, we can provide meaningful opportunities for veterans to find employment and continue making valuable contributions to society.”

The PaYS program is part of a long-term U.S. Army effort to help soldiers forge professional relationships with businesses and encourage business owners to look to the Army as a plentiful and reliable recruiting source. Since PaYS began in 2000, more than 1,297 employers have partnered with the program.

Jennifer Holly, Vice President of Human Resources, said HH is thrilled to play a role in the PaYS initiative.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to serving those who have served us,” she said. “Together with the U.S. Army, we will continue to prioritize the well-being and success of our veterans, ensuring that they receive the support and recognition they deserve.”

Whatever your expertise, opportunity awaits at Huntsville Hospital. With competitive pay, comprehensive benefits and ample opportunities to grow in your career, HH boasts a culture of excellence and innovation, giving employees the chance to work alongside top-tier medical professionals and access cutting-edge technology.

Like the Army, Huntsville Hospital offers numerous types of jobs supporting its mission, which is to provide quality care and coordinated services that improve the health of our communities. Anyone with a heart for service is encouraged to apply to be part of our team.
